- Formal Notice:
In order to formally protest, the protesting party is required to provide notice of their intent to protest to the plate umpire before the next pitch in the game, with the exception of protests related to player eligibility.
The protesting head coach bears the responsibility of ensuring that both team scorebooks are duly signed by the umpire, a prerequisite for the protest to be deemed valid.
A written (or electronic) protest must be submitted to the League Umpire-In-Chief (or an approved alternate, as stipulated in MVGSA rules concerning protests) within twenty-four (24) hours from the start of the game. Additionally, the protest fee of $75 must be paid (PAY HERE). The fee may be refunded if the protest is upheld. Please have photos of both the home and away team scorebooks ready for review upon request.
